Gamma Theta Upsilon "Books for Africa" Book Drive

GTU president Larissa Watkins and member Jean-Luc Dobson.
Donate your textbooks! EKU's chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the Geography Honor Society, is collecting Textbooks for Africa. The organization is working through the non-profit www.booksforafrica.org, which serves universities in 49 different countries across Africa.

Many courses at African colleges and universities are taught in English. The subject areas in most need are social sciences, humanities, technology, business, natural sciences, engineering, biological sciences, and agriculture (but other textbooks are also welcome!). Books more than 15 years old, magazines, academic journals, religious books, novels, paperback books, encyclopedias, and books focused on the U.S. (i.e. U.S. history or law) are not needed.

There are FOUR drop off locations: Roark 211, Moore 320, Dizney 208, and inside the Admissions Office in the Whitlock building. You may also request someone to pick up the books for you. Contact GTU president Larissa Watkins at larissa_watkins11@mymail.eku.edu or faculty advisor Dr. Kelly Watson at kelly.watson@eku.edu for more information or to request a pick up.
