EKU Students, Faculty, and Alumni Attend KAMP Conference

The Kentucky Association of Mapping Professional's (KAMP) annual conference was held September 5-7 at the Galt House hotel in Louisville. Twelve current students, three faculty members, and six alumni from EKU's Department of Geosciences attended the event, which featured pre-conference workshops on topics such as QGIS, LiDAR, and field data mapping with ESRI mobile apps, as well as posters and presentations on a diversity of GIS and mapping topics. The event provides a valuable experience for mapping professionals to network and share their knowledge and experiences within the growing field of Geographic Information Science.
