EKU Geosciences at regional GSA meeting in Columbia, SC

Geology student Drew Wolfe presents his research at regional GSA meeting.

Five students and three faculty from EKU Department of Geosciences presented their research at the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the Geological Society of America in Columbia, South Carolina from March 30 to April 1, 2016. Geosciences students Laura Norris and Cassie Simpson presented their collaborative research with Dr. Trent Garrison on dye tracing in karst formations in Fayette County. Drew Wolfe, Jacob Robin and Dr. Walter Borowski presented research on the environmental geology of the Otter Creek watershed in Madison County. Students Cassie Simpson and Alex Logsdon presented with Dr. John White on a GIS-based structural analysis of joint patterns in Madison County.
